With nearly four decades of experience in the art world, Daphne Alazraki Fine Art offers European and American paintings from the 19th Century through Contemporary fields, with emphasis on French Post-Impressionist and New York School Abstract works.
Daphne Alazraki, a California native, attended Vassar College in New York where she first studied history of art. After graduation she pursued an interest in Art Law and then a career shift led to a position at Christies NY in PR and Special Events, where Alazraki immersed herself in the art world.
In the early 1990s, Alazraki moved to Europe specializing in Dutch and Flemish Old Master paintings with her business partner based in Paris and Dusseldorf. The pair annually exhibited paintings at various international art fairs, including the prestigious European Fine Art Fair in Maastricht, the Netherlands. In 1994, Alazraki Fine Art was launched, establishing Daphne as a pioneer for women in the field of Northern Old Master European paintings. The Gallery has been based in Manhattan since 2000 and has regularly participated in global art shows.
Daphne Alazraki Fine Art has evolved from Old Masters to 19th Century and Impressionist art as well as Abstract and Modern paintings and works on paper. The Gallery seeks to acquire via purchase and consignment exceptional paintings and offers advisory services, including evaluation, appraisal, conservation and framing.
